According to VNA, within the framework of the State visit to the Lao People's Democratic Republic, attending the 50th Anniversary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and co-chairing the High-level Meeting between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, on the evening of December 1, in Vientiane, General Secretary To Lam and his wife, along with the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation, attended a State-level reception chaired by General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith and his wife.

In the warm and friendly atmosphere, General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith emphasized that this visit took place in the atmosphere of the entire Party, State and people of Laos enthusiastically celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
This is a great source of encouragement for the Lao Party, State and people, and is also a vivid and rare manifestation of the two countries.
The General Secretary and President of Laos highly appreciated the results of the talks between the two sides. On the basis of inheriting and promoting the special traditional relationship, the two sides agreed to bring the Laos - Vietnam relationship to a new height: Great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, strategic cohesion.
This is a testament to the common vision, coordination for strategic benefits and planning directions for mutual progress for sustainable, strong development and common prosperity of the two peoples of Laos and Vietnam.
