Everyone, anytime, anywhere, sharp, attractive
On the morning of September 7, at Ho Guom Theater (Hanoi), Vietnam Television (VTV) solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the first broadcast of the TV show, receiving the First Class Labor Medal and the Official Launching Ceremony, broadcasting the National Foreign Television channel - Vietnam Today. General Secretary To Lam attended and spoke at the ceremony.
Attending the ceremony were Politburo members: Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Phan Dinh Trac; Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh; General Phan Van Giang - Minister of National Defense; General Luong Tam Quang - Minister of Public Security. Also attending were members of the Party Central Committee: Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Secretary To Lam expressed his joy to the international delegates and friends attending the 55th Anniversary of VTV's First Television Program broadcast, receiving the First Class Labor Medal and the Official Launching Ceremony, broadcasting the National Foreign Television channel - Vietnam Today.
The General Secretary emphasized that over the past 55 years, from rudimentary technical conditions, VTV has developed into a national platform, a key, core, and multi-medium media to propagate the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State; contributing to education, fostering spiritual life, and improving people's knowledge; speaking the voice of the people in the cause of building, protecting and developing the country.
Accompanying the country and the nation, VTV's programs and works have objectively reflected many aspects of political, economic, cultural and social life; encouraged innovation, spread new factors; fought against corruption, waste and negativity; performed the function of supervision, social criticism, and recommendations to perfect institutions and policies.
General Secretary To Lam gave VTV 10 words: "Everyone, anytime, anywhere, sharp, attractive".
"Everyone is everyone at home and abroad, no matter who they are, everyone is excited. Always do well at any time. Everywhere is not only in Vietnam but also in the world. We are already sharp and attractive, so we must continue to be sharper and more attractive" - the General Secretary emphasized.
Promoting the role of a bridge between the Party, State and people
The General Secretary assessed that VTV's staff, reporters, editors, and announcers are steadfast in their political mettle, good at their profession, maintaining professional ethics, and fulfilling their social responsibilities. VTV has initially mastered modern technology and has truly promoted its role as a bridge between the Party, State and people, between policies and guidelines for life, guiding and leading public opinion, and creating social consensus. With such persistent contributions, VTV is honored to be awarded many noble awards from the Party and the State.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, General Secretary To Lam presented the First Class Labor Medal to VTV.
On behalf of VTV's cadres, reporters, editors, technicians, civil servants, and workers, General Director Nguyen Thanh Lam expressed his gratitude for the attention of the Party, State, and people, and respectfully expressed his gratitude to previous generations - those who laid the foundation and worked hard to create the appearance and position of VTV today.

At the ceremony, the national Foreign Television channel Vietnam Today was officially launched. This is an important milestone, demonstrating Vietnam's determination to increase information, promote the image of the country, people, culture and development achievements to international friends; a bridge to help international friends understand correctly, deeply and comprehensively about Vietnam.
