HUE - On the morning of November 2, General Secretary To Lam directly visited the flooded area of Quang Dien to visit, give gifts and encourage people to overcome the consequences of floods.

On the morning of November 2, General Secretary To Lam and the Central working delegation inspected the work of natural disaster prevention and control and visited people affected by floods in Quang Dien commune (Hue city).

General Secretary To Lam directly traveled to Chua hamlet, Mai Duong village, an area cut off due to rising floodwaters in recent days. By canoe, the General Secretary and members of the delegation visited, encouraged and presented gifts to support households in difficulty.

Here, the delegation directly presented gifts to 3 households in Khuong Pho Dong village, including Mr. Nguyen Chong and Mr. Ho Phuoc, along with another household severely affected by deep flooding. The remaining gifts were authorized by the locality to be given to the people as soon as possible.

After visiting the flooded area, General Secretary To Lam and the working delegation visited the Hall of the People's Committee of Quang Dien commune to meet, encourage and give gifts to local people. The General Secretary praised the proactive response of the government and people, and emphasized the task of continuing to ensure the safety of life, urgently overcome the consequences of floods, and soon stabilize people's lives.
