General Secretary To Lam warmly congratulated the Indian people on the occasion of the anniversary of the independence of the Republic of India (August 15,47 - August 15, 2025) and the outstanding achievements that India has made in the recent journey.
The General Secretary affirmed that Vietnam attaches importance to the traditional friendship that has been nurtured by many generations of leaders and people of the two countries.
Appreciating the positive and effective development of the relationship between the two countries in many fields, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that India is one of Vietnam's leading Comprehensive Strategic Partners in the region, with high political trust, many similar strategic benefits and a foundation for long-standing cultural and ethnic exchanges and connections.
General Secretary To Lam suggested that the Indian Ambassador pay attention to promoting bilateral cooperation areas, especially increasing exchanges of high-level delegations and all levels, effectively implementing the reached high-level agreements, enhancing defense and security cooperation, promoting economic connectivity, striving to increase the two countries' trade turnover to 20 billion USD and double two-way investment, expanding scientific and technological cooperation, innovation, promoting cultural, educational, religious, tourism cooperation, etc.
On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam also sent his condolences to Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and invited Indian leaders to arrange a visit to Vietnam at an appropriate time.

The Ambassador warmly congratulated Vietnam on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day; expressed his admiration for the achievements in Vietnam's economic and social development in recent times, highly appreciated the wise vision and determination of the Party and State of Vietnam in promoting reform, with a new development strategy, bringing the country into an era of rising up.
The Ambassador expressed his confidence that under the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, headed by General Secretary To Lam, Vietnam will successfully achieve the goal of becoming a developed country by 2045.
Ambassador Sandeep Arya said that the two sides are actively coordinating to implement high-level agreements and the Action Program to implement the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the period 2024-2028.
The Ambassador emphasized that India has strengths in many fields such as science and technology, information technology, artificial intelligence, etc., ready to share experiences and further strengthen cooperation with Vietnam to jointly achieve development goals in the new period.
Ambassador Sandeep Arya affirmed that India considers Vietnam one of India's leading important partners in the region.
Sharing the opinion of General Secretary To Lam, the Indian Ambassador affirmed that he will continue to closely coordinate with Vietnam's ministries, branches and localities to further deepen cooperation between the two countries, especially in important areas such as defense, security, economy, trade, investment, science and technology, people-to-people exchange, education, training, tourism, etc.
