    Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed General Secretary To Lam and his wife Ngo Phuong Ly to a reception on May 8.

    On May 8, General Secretary To Lam and his wife Ngo Phuong Ly attended a solemn reception for leaders of countries attending the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War chaired by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

    In a video released by the Kremlin and Sputnik news agency, President Vladimir Putin welcomed General Secretary To Lam and his wife Ngo Phuong Ly.

    The official visit to the Russian Federation and attendance at the 80th Anniversary of the Great Patriotic War by General Secretary To Lam and his wife along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation took place from May 8-11 at the invitation of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

    The visit demonstrates Vietnam's respect and honor for the huge contributions and sacrifices of the former Soviet Union and the Russian Federation today in the great victory against socialism, firmly defending peace in the world.
