In the joyful atmosphere to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, Tra Vinh solemnly held a ceremony to receive the Ho Chi Minh Medal and announced the Prime Minister's decision to recognize the province to complete the new rural task.
The program was brilliant with special performances and impressive artistic fireworks displays. The event also marked the 65th anniversary of the twinning between Tra Vinh and Thai Binh, demonstrating the close solidarity between the two localities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ngo Chi Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee - informed that currently, the scale of the economy is 96,622 billion VND. Stable growth: period 1992-1995 increased by 8.45%... period 2015 - 2020 increased by 11.95%, by the end of 2024, GRDP growth reached 10.04%.
According to Mr. Cuong, industry, trade - services have developed strongly, the whole province currently has 03 industrial parks (Long Duc, Co Chien, Cau Quan), 04 industrial clusters, 01 economic zone (Dinh An) planned to scale 39,000 hectares, which is 01 of 16 coastal economic zones of the country. Budget revenue reached and exceeded the set plan, domestic revenue for the whole period increased by an average of 20%/year,...
Currently, Tra Vinh still has 0.87% of poor households, good households, rich households have increased over the years. GRDP per capita by 2024 will reach 94.4 million VND/person/year, an increase of more than 129 times compared to 1992 (in 1992 it was 730,000 VND/person/year); completing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses.

At the ceremony, Mr. Le Minh Tri - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court - acknowledged and highly appreciated the feats and outstanding achievements that Tra Vinh has made.
The Party Committee and the army of Tra Vinh province have been awarded the First Class Labor Medal and the First Class Independence Medal by the Party and the State many times.
Today, Tra Vinh is honored to receive the Ho Chi Minh Medal, the most noble award of the province since its establishment, Mr. Tri congratulated Tra Vinh province.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Mr. Le Minh Tri presented the Ho Chi Minh Medal to the Party Committee and People's Government of Tra Vinh province.
Also at the ceremony, Mr. Le Minh Hoan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, presented the Prime Minister's Decision to recognize Tra province as honored to have completed the task of building new rural areas.

The special highlight of the ceremony was the artistic fireworks display and brilliant drone light performance, lighting up the sky of Tra Vinh, symbolizing the development and prosperity of the province over the past half century.
