Responsibility of the Government Inspectorate in handling complaints

The Government Inspectorate is responsible for receiving, classifying and processing petitions sent to the Government, the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers by the Government Office.

Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 193/QD-TTg on assigning the Government Office and the Government Inspectorate to receive, classify, and process complaints, denunciations, reflections, and recommendations containing complaints and denunciations from individuals and organizations sent to the Government, the Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Ministers.

According to the decision, the Prime Minister assigned the Government Office to receive complaints, denunciations, reflections, and recommendations containing complaints and denunciations (hereinafter referred to as petitions) from individuals and organizations sent to the Government, the Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Ministers.

The Government Office classifies and reports to the Prime Minister for consideration and comments on the following types of applications:

- Petitions are sent by leaders of the Party, the State, agencies of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee, National Assembly Delegations, National Assembly Deputies, the Central Party Office and Central Party Committees, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy, the Office of the President, the Office of the National Assembly, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and member organizations of the Fatherland Front.

- Applications sent by diplomatic missions, consular missions, and representative agencies of international organizations in Vietnam.

- The petition has complex content and nature related to ethnic, religious, security and order policies.

Transfer to the Government Inspectorate (in the form of a transfer form) petitions that do not fall under the above provisions for consideration, classification, and handling in accordance with the provisions of law.

The Prime Minister assigns the Government Inspectorate to receive, classify and process in accordance with the law petitions sent to the Government, the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers by the Government Office as prescribed.

The Government Inspectorate shall notify individuals and organizations of the results of handling applications according to regulations.

The Government Inspectorate monitors, urges, and inspects the handling of petitions under the authority of agencies, organizations, and individuals, and periodically summarizes and reports to the Prime Minister every quarter.
