On November 4, the Prime Minister issued decisions to appoint and reappoint leaders of a number of ministries and agencies.
In Decision No. 2436/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister appointed Lieutenant General Le Duc Thai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of the Border Guard - to hold the position of Deputy Minister of National Defense.
On the morning of November 4, at the Presidential Palace, President Luong Cuong - Politburo member, Commander of the People's Armed Forces, Chairman of the National Defense and Security Council - presided over the Ceremony to announce and hand over the Decision to appoint the position of Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) and hand over the Decision to promote the rank of General and Senior Lieutenant General to military officers.
At the ceremony, authorized by the President, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh - Deputy Head of the Office of the President announced the decision to promote the military rank from Lieutenant General to Senior Lieutenant General for Mr. Le Duc Thai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense and Mr. Nguyen Van Gau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense.
Presenting the decision and speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, President Luong Cuong warmly congratulated Mr. Le Duc Thai and Mr. Nguyen Van Gau on being promoted to the rank of Senior Lieutenant General.
In Decision No. 2432/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister appointed Colonel Nguyen Anh Ngoc - Head of Logistics - Engineering of Military Region 2 to hold the position of Deputy Commander of Military Region 2.
