The foundation and potential for the country to enter the era of development
This is the first national scientific conference discussing “The new era, the era of the Vietnamese nation’s rise - Theoretical and practical issues”. The conference is chaired by the Scientific Council of the Central Party Agencies, in coordination with the Editorial Board of the Communist Magazine.
Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Van Phuc - Vice Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Central Party Agencies, former Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine - analyzed that after nearly 40 years of renovation, the socialist-oriented market economy in our country has developed strongly, the economy has been raised to a higher level. Labor productivity has continuously increased, in the period of 2016 - 2020 it increased by 6.05%, in the period of 2021 - 2023 it increased by 8.94%. The material and spiritual life of the people has been significantly improved.
Associate Professor, Dr. Le Hai Binh - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine - said that the fourth industrial revolution has been and is profoundly changing the way the country governs and conducts production and business. For Vietnam, this change brings both opportunities and challenges, as the country must not only improve governance efficiency but also seize opportunities to accelerate development, avoiding the risk of falling behind other countries in the region and the world.
“To realize this aspiration, the national governance system must maximize its role in creating and comprehensively promoting all fields, while maintaining stability and consensus in society,” Associate Professor, Dr. Le Hai Binh emphasized.
Special attention should be paid to personnel work.
Referring to the content of personnel work, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam - Director, Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House Truth - said that personnel work has achieved outstanding results in recent times. However, Mr. Lam also frankly pointed out the bottlenecks in personnel work. According to Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam, entering a new era requires continued adjustment and comprehensive innovation of personnel work to successfully achieve the goal of "rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness, civilization", firmly moving towards socialism, standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers.
In his concluding remarks at the workshop, Dr. Lai Xuan Mon - Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Central Party Agencies - emphasized that the opinions at the workshop analyzed and affirmed that the orientations of General Secretary To Lam were strategic orientations formed on solid scientific foundations, with high persuasiveness and leadership. The opinions at the workshop also analyzed and highly agreed, affirming that entering a new era is an inevitable development step, in accordance with the laws of movement of the Vietnamese revolution and the development trend of the times.
According to Dr. Lai Xuan Mon, the opinions discussed to create breakthrough developments in various fields. Vietnam can do it all - nothing is impossible
