The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that Vietnamese citizens do not travel to Ukraine, except in cases of absolute necessity.

At the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam on the afternoon of November 21, Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang said that, in the face of the risk of the Russia-Ukraine conflict escalating and spreading to several major cities in Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam issued a warning to Vietnamese citizens and the Vietnamese community living, studying and working in Ukraine.

Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang said: "For the Vietnamese community in Ukraine, it is necessary to prepare the best plan to keep themselves and their families safe, including evacuating from big cities and staying away from dangerous areas."

The Vietnamese community in Ukraine also needs to regularly monitor local warning information, as well as warnings from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including the Consular Department and Vietnamese representative agencies abroad, to respond promptly and maintain regular contact with Vietnamese associations and embassies in Ukraine.

"For Vietnamese citizens, we recommend that Vietnamese citizens do not travel to Ukraine, except in cases of real necessity. To receive support in case of need, citizens can contact the citizen protection hotline of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs" - Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang emphasized.
