On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and the high-level working trip of Vietnamese leaders to Laos on December 2, Vietnamese Minister of Home Affairs Do Thanh Binh had a bilateral meeting with Lao Minister of Labor and Social Welfare Phosay Sayasone.
At the meeting, Minister Phosay Sayasone expressed his pleasure at welcoming Minister Do Thanh Binh to Laos during the working trip of Minister accompanying General Secretary To Lam and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to visit and work in Laos.
The Lao Minister of Labor and Social Welfare reiterated the important instructions of General Secretary To Lam on strengthening cooperation and continuously exchanging experiences between the two countries, ensuring resources for effective cooperation and promoting the participation of local governments in implementing cooperation plans at the national level as well as focusing on improving the capacity of civil servants and public employees in various fields.
Including the labor and social sectors to promote the rapid and sustainable socio-economic development of both countries.

Minister Do Thanh Binh respectfully thanked Minister Phosay Sayasone for his warm welcome to the Minister and the working delegation of the Ministry of Home Affairs of Vietnam.
Minister Do Thanh Binh was very pleased to join Minister Phosay Sayasone in attending the 48th Session of the Vietnam - Laos Intergovernmental Committee co-chaired by the two Prime Ministers to discuss many cooperation contents in all fields in the coming time, including the labor and social fields.
The Minister of Home Affairs emphasized the hope that the two Ministers would agree to review all work and activities in the previously signed Agreements, Festivals, and Memorandums of Understanding between the two Ministries.
Along with that, it is necessary to assess the situation and implementation results, at the same time point out the difficulties and problems that need to be solved and thereby propose specific implementation in the coming time.
Recalling the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the field of labor and meritorious people signed on November 12, the Minister suggested that Minister Phosay Sayasone unanimously implement the instructions of the two countries' senior leaders, and strive to fulfill the commitments signed between the two sides.
Minister Do Thanh Binh proposed assigning tasks to relevant departments and branches of the two Ministries to propose immediate implementation to realize commitments into products with specific results.
The Minister said that it is necessary to clarify specific needs for perfecting policy institutions, sharing experiences in organizing implementation as well as training to improve capacity and express his willingness to share Vietnam's experiences in the field of labor and meritorious people.
In addition, the Minister hopes that after this working session, the commitments and cooperation contents that have been agreed upon and signed will be implemented better and faster.
