As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency is expanding the investigation into the case of "Violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences" committed by Nguyen Van Hau and his accomplices at Phuc Son Group Joint Stock Company, Thang Long Investment, Trade and Real Estate Joint Stock Company and related units according to Decision to initiate criminal proceedings No. 16 dated February 26, 2024.
Based on the testimony of Nguyen Van Hau, the defendants, related subjects, and verified investigation documents, on March 7, 2024, the Ministry of Public Security Investigation Police Agency issued a decision to supplement the case on the crimes of "Accepting bribes", "Violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences", "Taking advantage of influence over people with positions and powers for personal gain", and at the same time prosecuted, arrested and detained 9 defendants. Including: Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy Lan - Secretary of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee and Mr. Le Duy Thanh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee.
Like Mr. Pham Hoang Anh - Standing Deputy Secretary of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee, Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy Lan and Mr. Le Duy Thanh were prosecuted and temporarily detained for the crime of "Receiving bribes", stipulated in Clause 4, Article 354 of the Penal Code.
