On February 28, the Standing Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee held a conference to collect opinions from former provincial leaders participating in the Draft (2nd time) of the Political Report of the 21st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
The draft sets out directions, goals, tasks, solutions, and programs, mainly for the 2025-2030 term.
Former leaders of Bac Ninh province highly appreciated the content and layout of the Draft Political Report, gave comments, and suggested many specific issues.
Accordingly, regarding the results of implementing the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025, the Draft report on a comprehensive assessment of the growth, scale of the province's economy, FDI attraction, urban planning and development, social security policies, etc.
However, it is necessary to analyze and evaluate more objectively, especially the factors affecting the province's economy to have negative growth in 2023; clarify the causes of limitations that have not met the plan; deeply and specifically evaluate lessons learned.
In terms of direction and tasks, there should be solutions to exploit advantages and calculate and build scenarios for Bac Ninh to pioneer in economic growth.
From the development orientation of the coming period, it is necessary to supplement Bac Ninh's recommendation to the Central Government; further emphasize the issues of preserving Bac Ninh's cultural identity, human resource quality, and education quality.
The goal of becoming a centrally-governed city by the end of 2026 is not much time left, so it is necessary to review each criterion, identify key, priority, realistic tasks with higher forecasting.
Bac Ninh Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan affirmed that the enthusiastic contributions of former provincial leaders are an important motivation for the current provincial leaders and the people in the province to continue to strive to overcome difficulties and challenges; determined to soon turn Bac Ninh into a centrally-run city.

At the meeting, General Secretary To Lam welcomed Bac Ninh province to strive to meet the criteria of a type I urban area by 2025 and become a centrally-run city by the end of 2026; requested the province to develop continuous development solutions in the coming time.
