According to the Ministry of Public Security's Electronic Information Portal, on February 3, 2025, on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025), General Luong Tam Quang - Politburo member, Minister of Public Security - wrote an article: "The People's Public Security is exemplary, taking the lead in implementing the Party's policies, contributing to the whole country firmly entering the new era".
In the article, General Luong Tam Quang said that on the threshold of the new era, police work has very basic advantages but also faces many difficulties and challenges.
The requirement for the People's Public Security Forces (PPP) is to "strongly innovate the thinking of protecting national security" in the direction of "protecting national security is not only to firmly protect the security of the Fatherland from early on, from afar, and to protect the country when it is not yet in danger; more importantly, it is necessary to make the most of opportunities, turning challenges into opportunities for national development" as General Secretary To Lam directed at the 2024 Central Public Security Party Conference.
Maintain and strengthen the absolute and direct leadership of the Party in all aspects over the People's Public Security. The Central Public Security Party Committee continues to strive to be an exemplary, leading, representative, and comprehensive Party Committee in the political system; build Party organizations in the People's Public Security that are truly clean, strong, united, democratic, strictly disciplined, and capable of leading and directing all aspects of public security work from the Central to the grassroots levels.
Well perform the advisory function and coordinate the synchronous and effective implementation of all aspects of Party protection work associated with Party building and rectification work; focus on protecting the Party's ideological foundation, viewpoints, and leadership lines, protecting internal politics and the contingent of Party members and cadres; proactively prevent and resolutely combat and neutralize activities against the Party and the State.
In the immediate future, we will devote all our attention and efforts to organizing Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 8th Central Public Security Party Congress, term 2025-2030, and absolutely protect the security and safety of the 14th National Party Congress.
The Minister of Public Security also proposed to build a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, and modern People's Public Security Force; continue to be exemplary in streamlining the organizational structure, operating effectively, efficiently, and effectively; and prevent and combat corruption, waste, and negativity.
Building and perfecting institutions on security and order in the direction of enhancing the effectiveness of state management, while creating conditions to encourage self-reliance, self-improvement, breakthroughs and creativity; promptly removing difficulties and obstacles, overcoming bottlenecks, expanding space and creating momentum for development.
Continue to promote the leading and core role in promoting digital transformation, administrative reform, management, and effective exploitation of data resources, especially population data, to enhance publicity and transparency, ensure information security and safety, and create momentum for economic and social development.
Strengthen the mobilization of combined strength to protect security and order, firmly consolidate the security belt, protect the Fatherland early and from afar, contributing to maintaining peace, stability, security and development in the region and the world according to the Party and State's policies.
Continue to invest in modernizing facilities, means, and equipment, enhance potential, strength, and combat readiness, excellently complete all assigned tasks, actively contribute and effectively serve the task of economic and social development, worthy of the trust of the Party, State, and people.
