On March 22, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son and the working delegation had a working session with Gia Lai province to inspect the progress of the Eastern Economic Corridor project.
The Eastern Economic Corridor project connecting Dak Doa, Chu Pah, and Pleiku districts has a total length of 15.14km, with a total investment of 1,325 billion VND, expected to be completed in 2025.
Currently, the project has cleared 85% of the site, and the remaining 2.22km has not been handed over. Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son requested to speed up the site clearance progress before April 2025 and complete the route by the end of this year.
When completed, the project will contribute to promoting Gia Lai's socio-economic development, facilitating people and vehicles.
The Deputy Prime Minister and the working delegation also visited and worked at Vinh Hiep Company Limited, one of the leading coffee exporters in Vietnam today.
In 2024, the company achieved an export turnover of 520 million USD, accounting for nearly 80% of Gia Lai province's coffee export turnover. In just the first 3 months of 2025, the company's export value reached 300 million USD.
The Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated coffee export activities, encouraged businesses to invest in technology, expand production and enhance their brands.
The Deputy Prime Minister also suggested that local governments support businesses in developing and promoting "three-house" cooperation including businesses, the state and the people.
