The tree planting program is not only symbolic but also demonstrates Agribank and the locality's support in environmental protection, sustainable development and improving the living environment for people.
Speaking at the tree planting activity, Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Chairman of Me Linh District People's Committee, said: "Me Linh District always determines that economic development must go hand in hand with environmental protection. Today's tree planting program not only contributes to creating a green - clean - beautiful landscape for the locality, but is also a specific action to realize the district's sustainable development goals. At the launching ceremony, Ms. Tu Thi Kim Thanh, member of the Board of Members of Agribank, said: "As a leading commercial bank in the field of "Tam Nong", Agribank not only focuses on business development but also always attaches importance to social responsibility and responsibility to the community. We determine that Agribank's development must always be associated with the sustainable development of the country, therefore, from 2020 to now, Agribank has launched the movement "One million trees - More trees, more life" and has been actively responded to by branches in the Agribank system".
Sharing at the ceremony, Ms. Dinh Thu Huong, Director of Agribank Me Linh Branch, pledged: Agribank Me Linh Branch will work with local authorities and people to protect and care for these trees to contribute to creating a cleaner, greener living space.
Participating in the tree planting movement in Me Linh district is not only an act of responding to the Government's Project to plant 1 billion trees, but also a part of Agribank's long-term strategy to link economic development with nature protection.
Not stopping at individual contributions, Agribank has been implementing many long-term programs to spread the spirit of nature protection.
