Bringing shelter to people in difficult circumstances
In 2024, Agribank operations continued to achieve stable growth in terms of scale, structure, quality and efficiency with total assets reaching over 2.2 million billion VND; capital exceeding 2 million billion VND. Total outstanding loans to the economy reached over 1.72 million billion VND, of which about 65% of outstanding loans were always reserved for investment in "Tam Nong".
In addition to its main business activities, Agribank has proactively and actively implemented social security activities focusing on the fields of education, health, building gratitude houses, eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, floods... with the motto "not leaving behind".
Every year, Agribank implements many meaningful programs for many disadvantaged localities across the country with a total budget of 500 - 600 billion VND. In 2024 alone, Agribank has supported a total of nearly 700 billion VND for social security work across the country.

In mid-2024, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang signed Decision No. 539/QD-TTg dated June 19, 2024 on the Plan to deploy the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025". The goal is to mobilize the whole society to support poor households, near-poor households, people affected by natural disasters and climate change, while helping families of meritorious people improve housing conditions.
Responding to the program, Agribank donated 100 billion VND at the event "Warm home for my compatriots" on October 5, 2024. Previously, this bank sponsored 20 billion VND in Hoa Binh, 15 billion VND in Dak Lak, 5 billion VND in Lam Dong. In early 2025, Agribank will continue to support 2.7 billion VND for Quang Tri and 5 billion VND for Ho Chi Minh City. By the end of 2024, the total budget Agribank has spent on this activity will reach nearly 300 billion VND.
Sharing the burden with the people
Super typhoon Yagi that made landfall in Quang Ninh, Hai Phong and directly affected the northern provinces of our country is not only recognized as one of the strongest storms ever to hit the Northwest Pacific Ocean, but also broke many records in intensity and development speed.
This is one of the most brutal storms in history, causing 344 deaths, 318 missing people, 26 missing people), 1,976 injuries; 281,966 damaged houses, roofs blown off; 112,034 houses flooded; 284,472 hectares of rice flooded, damaged... The estimated economic damage caused by this storm is 81,000 billion VND.

With the spirit of "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves", Agribank has accompanied people and businesses in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters with a total cost of nearly 60 billion VND. In particular, in overcoming super typhoon Yagi, Agribank has deployed a series of emergency relief activities.
Thousands of gifts are essential necessities, finances have overcome muddy roads and dangerous flooded areas to reach households that suffered heavy damage after the storm in Quang Ninh, Yen Bai, Lao Cai. With the desire for social security after the storm, Agribank also coordinated with local authorities to restore essential infrastructure works to help people soon stabilize their lives and production.
To rebuild after the flood, towards sustainable and long-term stability, Agribank has spent VND5,000 billion to implement a preferential lending program for individual customers affected by storm No. 3 and post-storm floods with low interest rates.

Or looking further into 2021, when the Covid-19 epidemic situation is complicated and has a big impact on all aspects of economic and social life, Agribank proactively builds and implements drastic, flexible and synchronous solutions, joins hands to push the epidemic back through cash and material support for localities, frontline hospitals, and epidemic prevention forces with a total support amount of over 300 billion VND.

In addition to joining hands with the whole country to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, Agribank also actively participates in supporting educational development. The program "More children, less poverty" has been implemented in 63 provinces and cities, with a total budget of nearly 18 billion VND. The program has become a brand in the provinces, a solid support for poor students to overcome difficulties.

Understanding the "mission" of a community bank, responding to the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind", every time Tet comes, the entire Agribank system spends 100 billion VND to support the care of the poor and policy families across the country.
During the Lunar New Year 2025, Agribank presented 500 million VND to the people and armed forces of Yen Bai province when participating in the National Assembly working delegation led by National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.
Regularly visiting and giving gifts to officers and soldiers in border areas, islands, and organizing working groups to visit Truong Sa archipelago, DK-I booth is one of Agribank's important activities. The bank also supported the Navy in building a multi-purpose Cultural House, donating medical equipment to Truong Sa, building new CV boats and accompanying the programs "greening Truong Sa", "The Navy receives sponsorship from fishermen".
