On the evening of May 28 in Hanoi, the 2024 Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award (VIFOTEC) Award Ceremony was organized by the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA), in coordination with the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
At the event, the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) was honored to have 5 projects awarded.
This year, the Organizing Committee received 128 entries, of which 42 best entries were selected for awards, including: 5 First prizes, 9 Second prizes, 13 Third prizes and 15 Encouragement prizes.
The winning projects are being applied in practice in production, bringing high economic efficiency, contributing to replacing imports and creating a technology market for life.
EVNCPC has 5 entries and all 5 entries have won prizes, with 2 Second prizes, 2 Third prizes and 1 Encouragement prize, including:
Second Prize: Project to build a tool to integrate data from the EVN PMIS technical management program and automatically draw a line to create and edit the above medium voltage grid data on the GIS map (Author group: Truong Tung Chau, Nguyen Dinh Tuan, Pham Ngoc Quang, Ho Quoc Viet, Nguyen Van Minh - Da Nang Power Company Limited).
Second Prize: Research on the design and manufacture of a combination of Recloser and LBS simulation on the medium voltage grid (Author group: Truong Minh Tu, Luong Quoc Trong, Le Tran Hoang Viet, Vo Nhu Vu, Pham Thien - Da Nang Power Company Limited).
Third Prize: Research on calculation and analysis of optimal solutions for managing power lines and low voltage grid (Author group: Le Hong Cuong, Nguyen Dinh Tuan, Vo Van Phuong, Nguyen Van Hieu, Nguyen Cong Minh - Da Nang Power Company Limited).
Third Prize: Research and design of manufacturing of power grid simulation equipment for testing DMS/DAS functions (Author group: Ho Hy Vinh, Trinh Quoc Chien, Doan Quang Minh, Nguyen Van Vinh, Le Van Ngan - Central Power Experience Company Limited; Vo Khac Hoang - EVNCPC Technical Department).
Encouragement Prize: Research on building a system to warn of power outages for public transformer stations due to aptomat dancing via Eoffice chat (Author group: Le Hong Cuong, Huynh Thao Nguyen, Phan Quang Tu - Da Nang Power Company Limited; Duong Minh Kiet - DLMT Information Technology Company).
EVNCPC's projects and solutions were highly appreciated by the Jury for their creativity, application and practical effectiveness, stemming from practical needs in production and business, contributing to improving labor productivity and the quality of professional activities.
With 5 awards won in 2024, up to now, EVNCPC individuals and groups of authors have won a total of 18 awards at the Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Awards, including: 1 First Prize, 6 Second Prizes, 9 Third Prizes and 2 Encouragement Prizes.
The VIFOTEC Award is a prestigious annual award to honor scientists, engineers, and technologists with outstanding scientific and technological works, high economic and social value, and being effectively applied in Vietnam.
After 29 times of organization since 1995, 3,252 projects have participated, of which 1,116 projects were awarded, contributing to promoting innovation capacity in the scientific community and Vietnamese enterprises.
