At the Enlit Asia 2024 International Conference opening in Malaysia on October 8, with the participation of more than 400 businesses operating in the energy sector around the world, EVNHCMC continued to receive the "Smart Grid" award for the second time with the project "Power Outage Management Map".
“Ho Chi Minh City Power Outage Information Online Map” is also known as “Power Outage Management Map” developed by EVNHCMC. This is a product that uses IoT technology combined with data integration from many different information systems. This application allows management of power supply status (on/off) of nearly 2.7 million customers in real time and provides detailed and accurate visual display of this information on a geographic map. This helps EVNHCMC closely manage power outages, implement effective operational solutions and provide timely and accurate information to customers, thereby improving customer experience and satisfaction.
Enlit Asia International Conference is the unified brand of PowerGen Asia and Asean Utility Week, which started in 2014. This is the largest and most important program in the region, where energy corporations and major solution providers such as ABB, Siemens, Mitsubishi, TNB Malaysia, SPGroup Singapore, PLN Indonesia, MEA Thailand... converge.
With outstanding achievements in developing smart grids and innovation, the "Power Outage Management Map" project of EVNHCMC and 2 other projects of TNB Group Malaysia entered the final round of the "Smart Grid Award" category of this event. In the end, EVNHCMC excellently ranked first and continued to maintain its position as a pioneer in the Vietnamese electricity industry, surpassing large corporations in the region, winning the first prize in the field of smart grid development.
On the same day, EVNHCMC was also honored to receive the award in the category of “Automation in the smart grid” from Power Magazine - USA. The Smart Grid (DAS) project helps reduce the frequency, labor time as well as the complexity of the work, thereby helping to improve the overall safety level for workers, especially in harsh weather conditions. In Ho Chi Minh City, power distribution grid failures are mostly concentrated in hot, peak or stormy seasons, so they often cause more potential dangers for workers during the process of identifying and handling incidents.
The application of the DAS automation system (FLISR) allows EVNHCMC to collect remote device data from the field to the control center, thereby using intelligent data analysis algorithms and making reasonable decisions. The system allows for quick handling in isolating incidents and restoring power supply to unaffected areas through smart devices on the grid.
