The “Green Bank of the Year” award, under the Innovative Choice Awards category, reflects HDBank’s sustainable development strategy with initiatives related to environment, society and governance (ESG). HDBank has pioneered in financing renewable energy projects, implementing green credit products and applying technological solutions to minimize environmental impacts, especially carbon emissions.
The representative of the organizing committee said that HDBank met the criteria of the award well, while emphasizing the role of the bank in promoting innovative values. To evaluate the award, NIC coordinated with VCCorp and received advice from experts from PwC Vietnam.
Also in this series of events, HDBank inaugurated the Galaxy Innovation Hub in the North at NIC, after establishing the first center in Ho Chi Minh City in November 2023. Galaxy Innovation Hub plays an important role as a bridge, connecting businesses, researchers and experts to promote cooperation, provide financial solutions, technology infrastructure and training programs. This center supports technology businesses and startups, contributing to the development of Vietnam's innovation ecosystem.
Immediately after receiving the investment license at Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park, HDBank coordinated with partners to deploy a Venture Investment Fund worth VND150 billion and a High-Tech Development Support Fund worth VND100 billion to support technology companies and startups. These two funds also expanded their operations in the North, accompanying the Galaxy Innovation Hub.

This is part of our ESG strategy, effectively integrating with business operations to bring long-term value to stakeholders and the community."
Over the years, HDBank has cooperated closely with many international financial organizations such as ADB, WB, IFC, Proparco, DEG... Recently, ADB and Proparco have also increased the credit limit for HDBank to hundreds of millions of USD.
Previously, HDBank has also received many prestigious international awards, such as "ADB Green Bank" (2019), "Best Bank for Sustainable Finance" from The Asset (2022) and most recently "Best Green Finance Institution in Vietnam" awarded by The Asian Banker in August 2024.
This "Green Bank of the Year" award continues to be a recognition from prestigious organizations for HDBank's continuous and effective efforts in promoting green finance and innovation, contributing to the goal of sustainable development of the economy.
