With the demand for electricity consumption increasing sharply, over the past 5 years, the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) has continuously strived to overcome difficulties to excellently complete the assigned tasks.
Specifically, in the construction of source facilities and distribution grids, in the past 5 years, EVNCPC has completed 2,511 projects, an average of 502 projects/year; started 74 projects and energized 77 110kV projects with a total investment capital of nearly 30,000 billion VND, of which net investment is 18,678 billion VND.
Thanks to such synchronous and drastic investment, in the past 5 years, the power grid system, especially in areas with high growth loads such as Hue city, Da Nang; Quang Ngai province, Khanh Hoa... has been closed, improving the reliability in power supply. Many areas that seem to be "empty" of electricity forever, such as Nhon Chau island commune (Binh Dinh), have also been supplied with electricity by underground cables across the sea.
Thus, by the end of 2024, the total volume of power grid managed and operated by EVNCPC includes 158 110kV substations and 4,260km of 110kV lines; more than 84,000km of medium and low voltage lines and 33,679 overload substations.
One of EVNCPC's core tasks is to distribute and trade electricity, and to effectively carry out this task, this unit has found every way to increase commercial electricity output, increase revenue, reduce production costs, and reduce electricity loss targets.
In fact, continuously over the past 5 years, the enterprise has always exceeded targets such as the average growth of commercial electricity output of 8%/year, from 19.118 billion kWh in 2020 to 25.451 billion kWh in 2024; while the power loss in the past 5 years decreased from 4.65% to 3.65%.
During this period, EVNCPC has contributed and supported projects and social security activities with a total value of more than 115 billion VND, of which 16 billion VND is to support the construction of 291 gratitude houses...
Over the past 5 years, EVNCPC has received many prestigious awards such as: Excellent Emulation Flag of the Prime Minister, First Class Labor Medal; Emulation Flag of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; Excellent Emulation Flag of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises; Certificate of Merit and Emulation Flag of EVN.
