On May 24, Dong Nai Hydropower Company said it had just organized a drill for disaster prevention and control and search and rescue (PCTT&TKCN); and also drilled to handle electric shock and food poisoning in 2026.

At the drill, officials and employees were trained in processes and skills to handle natural disasters and technical incidents that may occur during the operation of Dong Nai 3 and Dong Nai 4 Hydropower Plants.
The simulated situation was built close to the reality of the rainy and storm season when the reservoir area experienced prolonged heavy rain, the water flow to the reservoir increased sharply, forcing it to operate regulating discharge with a flow rate of 300m3/s to ensure the safety of the works and downstream areas.

During operation, a 22kV power pole collapse incident occurred in the area of the road to the spillway, causing the valve gate operating system to lose power.
At the same time, the backup diesel generator also encountered an incident, forcing the operating force to deploy a plan to use mobile oil pumps for emergency flood discharge.

Faced with the complex simulated situation, the participating forces quickly deployed to inspect the scene, set up barriers, arrange warning signs and mobilize sufficient manpower and vehicles according to the built plan.
In addition to disaster prevention, the company also conducted drills to handle electric shock and food poisoning situations to improve first aid skills and ensure labor safety for officials and employees.

Mr. Ho Si Hung - Deputy Director, Standing Deputy Head of the Civil Defense Command of the Company said that the inspection and maintenance of equipment, construction monitoring and drill organization are always focused on by the unit to improve the ability to respond to incidents during the rainy and storm season.
According to Mr. Ho Si Hung, the drill helps officials and employees improve their skills in handling real-life situations and coordinate effectively when natural disasters or incidents occur during production.

Dong Nai Hydropower Company assessed that the drill has fully completed the set contents.
Thereby, contributing to improving disaster response capacity, ensuring project safety and maintaining stable power production activities during the rainy and storm season.
