Lining up early when the gold shop on Tran Nhan Tong Street (Hanoi) had not opened yet to wait to buy gold rings, Ms. Ngo Thuy Trang (Dong Da District, Hanoi) shared:
"Currently, the price is still high but it is very difficult for people to buy gold. I came here since morning to wait to buy. However, I don't know if I can buy it today because it is past opening hours and they have not announced when it will be sold."
Similarly, Ms. Pham Thi Thuy (Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi) is also waiting at a gold shop on Tran Nhan Tong street to buy a plain round gold ring.
"The day before, I went to this gold shop to wait to buy but couldn't buy anything. Today, I came back to wait again. I will buy as much as the shop allows me to buy. However, I don't know if I can buy anything because there are a lot of people waiting in front of me," said Ms. Thuy.
Mr. Le Van Duong - a customer who came to buy gold rings at a gold shop on Tran Nhan Tong Street, Hanoi - said: "I saw that most of the shops announced that they were out of stock or limited the number of sales per day.
They are not selling gold rings here yet. I plan to come back in the afternoon but I don't know if they are selling them. The staff here did not announce the time frame for selling rings in advance."

As of 10:00 a.m. on January 9, the price of SJC gold bars listed by DOJI Group was at VND84.5-86 million/tael (buy - sell); an increase of VND500,000/tael for both buying and selling.
The difference between buying and selling prices of SJC gold at DOJI Group is at 1.5 million VND/tael.
Meanwhile, Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of SJC gold at 84.7 - 86 million VND/tael (buy - sell); an increase of 500,000 VND/tael for both buying and selling.
The difference between buying and selling price of SJC gold at Saigon Jewelry Company is at 1.3 million VND/tael.
At the same time, the price of 9999 Hung Thinh Vuong round gold ring at DOJI was listed at 84.8 - 86 million VND/tael (buy - sell); an increase of 100,000 VND/tael for buying and an increase of 300,000 VND/tael for selling compared to early this morning.
Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of plain round gold rings at 84.7 - 85.9 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 300,000 VND/tael for buying and 400,000 VND/tael for selling compared to early this morning.
The world gold price listed on Kitco at 9:59 a.m. on January 9 (Vietnam time) is at 2,658.765 USD/ounce.
