According to the provincial Statistics Office, in November, Hai Duong province's economy achieved many positive results in most areas. Some industries had quite high growth rates compared to the previous year, creating growth momentum for trade and service activities to maintain high growth rates.
Total retail sales and consumer service revenue in November is estimated at VND9,250 billion, up 15.9% over the same period last year. Revenue from transportation and warehousing activities in November reached VND1,515 billion, up 17.6% over the same period last year.
In the first 11 months, total retail sales and consumer service revenue was estimated at VND92,410 billion, up 14.1% over the same period last year; revenue from transportation and warehousing activities was estimated at VND14,621 billion, up 14.7% over the same period last year. Of which, retail sales of goods reached over VND75,000 billion, up 14.6%.
Revenue from social consumer services reached nearly 17,000 billion VND, up nearly 12%.
Export and import of goods in November also had positive changes, with total export and import turnover estimated at 1.7 billion USD, up 2.8% over the previous month.
Overall, in 11 months, industrial production increased by 13.9% over the same period last year. Some industries had high production output, greatly affecting the general index of the whole industry such as: Motor vehicle production increased by more than 13%; Electronic product production increased by 12.4%; Electrical equipment production increased by more than 42%; Metal production increased by 16.6%; Food production and processing increased by 11.5%...
The increase in industrial production has led to an estimated increase in labor demand in industrial enterprises of 0.8% compared to the previous month and 5.5% compared to the same period in 2023. In the first 11 months of 2024, the labor force in the industrial sector increased by 3.1% compared to the same period. In which, the industries that use a lot of labor are mainly garment, footwear, electronics, automobiles and auxiliary parts.
