Mr. Vo Minh Thanh (born in 1957, Mrs. Tu's husband) said that he has been selling bags for nearly 10 years. However, due to frequent dizziness, dizziness and shortness of breath, he was forced to quit his job. He is taking health insurance medicine and accepts to live with the disease.
"I did not dare to go to a medical facility because I was afraid I wouldn't have enough money for treatment. The worry about health is even worse when the situation getting worse and I don't know what to do, other than accept it," Mr. Thanh added.
Mr. Bui Van Hoang, who lives next to Mrs. Tu's house, said that Mrs. Tu's family has no land, only the land can build a level 4 house from money lent by relatives.
According to Mr. Hoang, Mrs. Tu now has cancer, her husband is unemployed, is old and weak, often faints, and has no income to live on.
"Our neighbors only supported a little rice, meat, fish, but the treatment fee was too much. I hope Mrs. Tu's family will receive support from benefactors and soldiers in many places, so that Mrs. Tu and her husband have money to treat their illness," Mr. Hoang added.
Talking to Lao Dong, Mr. Le Minh Luan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Duc commune, Long Ho district said that there are currently 18 poor households and 40 near-poor households in the commune.
Ms. Ho Thi Tu's family was previously a poor family. In the recent meeting to consider poor and near-poor families, the People's Committee of the commune recognized Ms. Tu's family as a near-poor household in 2025.
According to Mr. Luan, currently Mrs. Tu's wife and husband are unemployed and have no income, all their money and daily rice are supported by relatives and benefactors in many places, and the cost of cancer treatment is borrowed from loans.
