Mr. Nguyen Van Tuyen is the only son of a poor family in Van Tai village (Tu Ky commune, Hai Phong city). Since childhood, Mr. Tuyen lacked the affection of his father, and was raised by his maternal grandmother in the fields and for hire around the village. After finishing high school, he left his hometown to work for hire in Hanoi, with the desire to help his mother reduce her worries and save some money to take care of her when she was sick.
However, that simple dream was interrupted by a tragic accident. On October 22, 2025, while driving a tractor-trailer near an area with a crane, the crane suddenly got stuck in a high-voltage power line.
The electric current passed through, causing Mr. Tuyen's whole body to be severely burned and he fell on the spot. He was taken to the emergency room by his colleagues in critical condition, with deep burns and extravagance of his skin. Currently, Mr. Tuyen is still in a deep coma at the Emergency Department - Le Huu Trac National burn Hospital.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Van An - Mr. Tuyen's biological uncle choked up and said: "My nephew is gentle, hardworking, and has been working for hire for several years to take care of his mother. After nearly a month in the hospital, her health has been damaged up to 60%, and her prognosis is still not optimistic. The mother of the child is over 60 years old, alone, dependent on her child, now she cries every day because she loves her child".
According to the representative of Van Tai village, Mr. Tuyen's family is in a difficult situation. His mother does not have a stable job, currently runs around borrowing money to pay for treatment costs and anxiously waits for news of her child. The medical costs for the severe and prolonged burns were large and far beyond the family's ability.
Faced with this heartbreaking situation, the associations of Van Tai village have launched a call for the community to join hands to help. kind-hearted people and philanthropists inside and outside the commune are donating small portions to support Mr. Tuyen and his mother to overcome the difficult period.
Currently, local organizations continue to call for and connect support sources to help Mr. Nguyen Van Tuyen's family have more long-term treatment conditions. Every help, no matter how small, is a great hope for that filial son to have the opportunity to overcome the danger and return to the arms of his old mother.
