The tragedy after natural disasters
The historic storm and flood have passed, the picture of chaos and devastation after natural disasters has also gradually faded. Life is rebuilt, collapsed and damaged houses are rebuilt, thanks to the joint efforts of the whole society. However, there are still some people in trouble, unable to recover after the storm.
Having lost his parents early, Mr. Pham Ngoc Hieu (38 years old, residing in Quarter 3, Quy Nhon Bac Ward, Gia Lai) had to drop out of school to make a living as a paint artist. After getting married, he and his wife have 3 children (the oldest child is in grade 10, has dropped out of school; the second child is in grade 7; the youngest child is over 2 years old). Although life is lacking, there is still warm love in the house donated by the state.

A life of hardship that seemed peaceful is now flooded with hardship. His wife was discovered to have thyroid cancer and ran for treatment everywhere but to no avail. The evil disease has metastasized, there is no way to cure it, extinguishing all hopes of Mr. Hieu and his children.
Before he could be saved, the storm and flood came, the charity house was left unfinished, and all the furniture in the house was swept away by the water. misfortune once again dragged this man down to the darkness of life, exhausted both physically and mentally, and no longer strong enough to stand up.

The house was filled with laughter and laughter in the middle of the small village, inside was empty, littered with damaged furniture. On the wall, the floodwaters are still clearly printed, more than 2m high. The whole house only has two old desks covered in mud, along with a few books and old clothes that have not been washed away.
Before the storm and flood swept through, Mr. Hieu's wife and children had to evacuate to their parents' house. The flood receded, the storm passed, and Mr. Hieu returned in a huff. The cramped house is now unusually empty. The storm wind stopped, the floodwaters had receded, but he still wavered, not knowing where to hold on to overcome the storm of his life.

"The storm swept away the kitchen, the porch roof was bare, and all of the furniture in the house was swept away by the flood. My wife has a serious illness and is lying in one place. I work as a painter for hundreds of thousands of years every day, but I have had to take a month off due to storms and floods. Now I have nothing left to do, and I don't have money to repair the house," Mr. Hieu choked up.
Need for loving arms
The entire Quarter 3 has 759 households with 2,062 people, most of whom were submerged in floodwaters with water levels from 2 to 3m. Mr. Hieu's family is the most disadvantaged household in the neighborhood, always receiving special attention from the locality. However, poverty is still harsh and uncompromising.

After the storm and flood, Mr. Hieu lived a prosperous life thanks to the love of the village, the support of the local government and gifts from benefactors, traveling through the day. When we got to the house, it was difficult for us to meet him, because he "tortured" him to receive charity gifts - a scene that no man wanted. Only when we asked someone to come back did we meet him, because he did not use the phone.
From afar, he approached the house with a weak walk due to injured legs, a thin, and weak figure. When asked about the situation, his eyes bowed, his voice became crowded, interrupted: " Yes... nothing! , just a few short words but containing a whole life of being forced into poverty. Then he was silent.

Mr. Hieu's wish is to soon have money to repair the house, buy some furniture and belongings and take his wife and children home to take care of them. After prolonged losses due to storms and floods, what he needs most is a safe roof to protect his small family, along with loving arms of support, helping his family stay strong and find some peace in the stormy life.
