More than 700 hectares of beautiful land for social housing and workers' housing in Quang Ninh

Quang Ninh - Quang Ninh continues to build social housing, planning hundreds of hectares of additional land to build social housing, houses for workers in industrial parks, to retain and attract high-quality human resources.

The province currently has 3 social housing projects with a scale of nearly 4,000 apartments for low-income people, laborers, and workers in industrial parks, including: Social housing project in the residential area of ​​Ngan Bang hill in Hong Hai and Cao Thang wards (Ha Long city); Social housing project serving workers and experts in Dong Mai industrial park (Quang Yen town) and Social housing project in Dong Mai ward (Quang Yen town) serving workers and employees of enterprises in Song Khoai industrial park.

In particular, the social housing project of the Bank Hill residential area located in Hong Hai and Cao Thang wards (Ha Long City) started construction on October 30, 2022, with a total investment of about 1,400 billion VND, with 790 social housing apartments for sale and rent to low-income people and 196 commercial apartments. Currently, 343 individuals and households are eligible to have their applications approved to buy apartments in this project. Of which, 275 individuals and households have signed apartment purchase contracts.

In addition to the above projects, there are 10 other social housing projects planned in Ha Long City and Cam Pha City.

Quang Ninh Province also issued Decision No. 2279/QD-UBND dated August 8, 2022, approving the Project on developing housing for workers in the coal industry and industrial parks; planning 663 hectares of land for social housing investment, about 55.5 hectares of land for building industrial park worker housing. These land funds are all planned and arranged in locations with convenient transportation, synchronous technical infrastructure and social infrastructure.

At the same time, the province has also stepped up investment attraction; publicly announced programs, projects, plans, and land funds for social housing construction to attract investors' attention and investment research; directed the implementation of social housing and worker housing loan programs.

In order to help people reduce financial burden, have their dream house, and stabilize their lives, there are currently 2 banks in the province implementing preferential loan programs. Accordingly, Vietcombank Ha Long Branch offers attractive loan packages with a maximum loan term of up to 20 years from the first disbursement date with a loan amount of up to 70% of the apartment value. Currently, the interest rate is 6.5%/year, along with preferential interest rates in the first 5 years according to the announcement of the State Bank.

Along with that, the Bank for Social Policies, Quang Ninh branch, has actively implemented the program of lending to low-income people to buy, lease-purchase social housing or build new, renovate, and repair houses according to Decree 100/2015/ND-CP (now Decree 100/2024/ND-CP) of the Government with a maximum amount of up to 80% of the apartment value. The Interest Rate for loans under the poor household lending program is 6.6%/year. The Interest Rate is adjusted according to the Prime Minister's decision from time to time to help save costs throughout the loan period.
