The draft of the Ukrainian peace plan with 28 points proposed by US President Donald Trump has just been revealed by RT.
A senior White House official acknowledged the "not easy" plan for Ukraine, but said the conflict needed to end to avoid the risk of losing more territory.
28 point plan content
1. Confirming Ukraine's sovereignty.
2. Signing a non-military action deal between Russia, Ukraine and Europe, considering all problems over the past 30 years to be resolved.
3. Russia is expected not to attack neighboring countries; NATO is not expanding further.
4. The US mediates the Russia- NATO dialogue to resolve security issues, facilitate tensions reduction and promote cooperation.
5. Ukraine has received reliable security guarantees.
6. Limit the size of the Ukrainian armed forces to 600,000 troops.
7. Ukraine has not joined NATO in its constitution; NATO has also added a provision not to admit Ukraine in the future.
8. NATO is determined not to deploy troops in Ukraine.
9. European fighter jets will be deployed in Poland.
10. US guarantees include: the US receives compensation for guarantee costs; Ukraine loses collateral if it launches a campaign into Russian territory; Russia loses all agreed benefits and is subject to sanctions if it sends troops into Ukraine; guarantees of inactivity if Ukraine launches missiles at Moscow or St. Petersburg. Area arrangement: Crimea, Lugansk, Donetsk are recognized as areas under actual Russian control; Kherson and Zaporizhzhia maintain contact points; Russia withdraws from other areas outside the five regions; Ukrainian forces leave the Donetsk region they are controlling, this area becomes a non-military buffer zone and is internationally recognized as a buffer zone of Russia; Russia does not send troops into the buffer zone.
