11 regimes for non-commissioned officers and soldiers while in active service

Clause 1, Article 50 of the 2015 Law on Military Service stipulates the regime and policies for non-commissioned officers and soldiers during their service in the army as follows:

a) Be guaranteed timely, sufficient quantity and quality of food, provisions, military uniforms, and medicines for disease prevention and treatment; be guaranteed accommodation, monthly allowances, necessities and cultural and spiritual needs appropriate to the nature of military duties; be guaranteed benefits during holidays and Tet; be guaranteed health care in case of injury, illness or accident in accordance with the provisions of law;

b) From the thirteenth month onwards, leave is allowed according to the regime; cases of leave for other unexpected reasons are prescribed by the Minister of National Defense;

c) From the twenty-fifth month onwards, receive an additional 250% of the current monthly military rank allowance;

d) Counted as family members when the family is assigned or adjusted housing area, land for housing construction and cultivated land;

d) Time of active service is counted as working time;

e) Preferential postage;

g) Those who have achievements in combat, work and training will be rewarded according to the provisions of law;

h) In case of injury or illness while on duty, the employee is entitled to preferential treatment according to the provisions of law;

i) The State guarantees social insurance and health insurance regimes according to the provisions of the Law on Social Insurance and the Law on Health Insurance;

k) Be temporarily deferred from paying and exempt from interest on loans from the Social Policy Bank for those who were members of poor households, students, or pupils before joining the army according to the provisions of law;

l) Priority in military recruitment.

Thus, non-commissioned officers and soldiers during their active service enjoy the above benefits.
