Dismissed if untruthfully declared assets and income over 20 billion VND

Article 36 of Decree 164/2026/ND-CP Regulating the control of assets and income of people with positions and powers in agencies, organizations, and units (effective from July 1, 2026), stipulates the handling of violations against declarants as follows:

Based on the content, nature, severity, consequences of the violation; motives, purposes, causes, conditions and circumstances of the violation; aggravating and mitigating circumstances; the person obliged to declare will be subject to one of the following specific disciplinary actions:

3. Handling of dismissal applied to declarants holding positions when:

a) Untruthful declaration of assets and income to be declared with a total value of over 20 billion VND;

b) Untruthfully explaining the origin of assets and additional income for assets and income with a total value of over 20 billion VND.

Thus, from July 1, 2026, people who are obliged to declare assets will be dismissed when they untruthfully declare assets and income to be declared with a total value of over 20 billion VND.
