Article 18 of Decree 164/2026/ND-CP Regulating the control of assets and income of people with positions and powers in agencies, organizations, and units (effective from July 1, 2026), stipulates the prohibited acts in asset and income verification as follows:
1. Abusing positions and powers in the process of verifying assets and income to commit illegal acts, harassing, causing difficulties and troubles for people whose assets and income are verified and other agencies, organizations, and individuals; abuse of power in the process of verifying.
2. Verify issues and contents outside the plan to verify assets and income that have been approved.
3. Deliberately not reporting to the Head of the Verification Team, the person making the verification decision when detecting signs of violation; covering up for the person whose assets and income are verified; intentionally making false conclusions; making illegal conclusions, decisions, and handling.
4. Giving bribes, receiving bribes, brokering bribes in asset and income verification activities.
5. Disclosure of information and documents during the process of verifying assets and income.
6. Illegal interference in asset and income verification activities; impacting and falsifying asset and income verification results.
7. Not providing information, documents or providing them in a timely, incomplete, untruthful, inaccurate manner; appropriating, destroying documents and evidence related to the content of asset and income verification.
8. Oppose, obstruct, bribe, threaten, retaliate, suppress people who verify assets and income; cause difficulties for asset and income verification activities.
9. Discriminating, retaliating, and persecuting people who provide information and documents to serve the verification of assets and income.
10. Other acts are strictly prohibited under the law.
Thus, from July 1, 2026, the above acts are strictly prohibited in asset and income verification.
