Article 4 of Decree 20/2021/ND-CP stipulates the standard level of social assistance as follows:

1. The social assistance standard is the basis for determining the social allowance level, the level of financial support for receiving care and nurturing; the level of nurturing allowance in social assistance facilities and other social assistance levels.

2. The standard social assistance level applied from July 1, 2021 is VND 360,000/month.

Depending on the budget balance, the rate of increase in consumer prices and the living conditions of social protection beneficiaries, competent authorities shall consider and adjust the social assistance standard accordingly; ensuring policy correlation with other beneficiaries.

Clause 1, Article 1, Decree 76/2024/ND-CP (effective from July 1, 2024) stipulates: Amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 20/2021/ND-CP of the Government regulating social assistance policies for social protection beneficiaries as follows: "The standard level of social assistance applied from July 1, 2024 is VND 500,000/month.

Depending on the budget balance, the rate of increase in consumer prices and the living conditions of social protection beneficiaries, competent authorities shall consider and adjust the social assistance standard accordingly; ensuring policy correlation with other beneficiaries."

Thus, the monthly social assistance standard applied from July 2024 is 500,000 VND/month.
