According to the 2026 university and college admission guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training, from August 4 to 5 pm on August 9, training institutions will consider admission according to the aspirations registered by candidates, and process data on the System to determine the highest aspiration that each candidate meets the admission conditions.
After completing 6 rounds of processing aspirations and virtual filtering, training institutions will enter the admission score and admission results into the common system.
Training institutions will announce the benchmark score results and list of admitted candidates in the first phase before 5 pm on August 13.
All admitted candidates, including direct admission, must confirm enrollment on the System (if they wish to study) before 5:00 PM on August 21.
These days, many candidates said they are in a state of nervousness, both hoping and worried when waiting for the admission results.
As one of millions of candidates waiting for benchmark scores, Nguyen Minh Anh (Vinh Thanh commune, Hanoi) said that she continuously monitors enrollment information of universities.
I registered my first wish for Marketing at the National Economics University. My exam score is quite good, but I am still very worried because the benchmark score for this major is always high every year. Last year, this major took over 28 points.
These days I regularly go to enrollment forums to see benchmark score predictions, but the more I watch, the more nervous I become. I just hope the benchmark score does not increase too much compared to last year" - Minh Anh shared.
According to the female student, after completing the nguyện vọng registration, she could no longer change anything, so she only knew to wait for the results.

Meanwhile, student Khong Xuan Thanh (Hanoi) said that with 24 points in this year's high school graduation exam, he has proactively arranged his aspirations according to a strategy suitable to his abilities and interests. Accordingly, he prioritizes registering in order: Favorite major, major suitable for the score achieved and finally majors with lower benchmark scores to increase the chance of admission.
My first wish is Chemical Engineering major of Hanoi University of Science and Technology. This is my favorite major and also the goal I aimed for from the beginning" - Xuan Thanh shared.
The male student said that although he had carefully considered when registering his aspirations, he was still a little nervous during the days waiting for the announcement of the benchmark scores. However, he was not too worried but spent time resting and preparing mentally for the new journey.

Sharing the same waiting mood, Vuong Hoai Nam (Dong Anh commune, Hanoi) also regularly follows information about benchmark scores in recent days. Although he has carefully considered when registering for admission, the male student said he still cannot avoid feeling nervous as the time when schools announce admission results is approaching.
These days I still go to see the expected benchmark score information of schools. Sometimes I am quite worried because I don't know how the scores will fluctuate this year, but I think now the only way is to wait for the official results. I hope to get into my favorite major to start a new learning journey soon" - Hoai Nam shared.
