In 2024, the scores for admitting to the regular university admission to the Academy of Journalism and Communication are as follows:
General requirements for candidates applying for all admission methods:
- With the results of the 10th grade, 11th grade and the first semester of grade 12 high school level achieving 6.5 or higher;
- The entrance exam for grade 10, grade 11 and grade 1 of grade 12 high school is classified as quite good or higher.
For the admission method based on the results of the high school graduation exam:
- For majors/specialty majors in group 1, group 3 and group 4 (with main subject combinations multiplied by coefficient 2): Total score of 3 subjects multiplied by coefficient: floor score is 25 points.
- Specializations/professions in group 2: Total score of 3 subjects without coefficient. The admission floor score is 18.0 points.
This score includes exam scores according to the admission combination, priority points for subjects and areas.

In 2023, the general requirement for candidates applying to the academy by all admission methods is to have the results of each semester's academic performance rating of 5 high school semesters reaching 6.5 or higher (excluding the second semester of grade 12).
The self-assessment of each semester of 5 high school semesters is classified as quite superior (excluding semester II of grade 12).
According to the admission method based on high school graduation exam results, for majors/specializations in group 1, group 3, group 4 (with a combination of main subjects multiplied by a coefficient of 2): The total score of the 3 subjects multiplied by a coefficient of 25.0 points.
majors/specializations in group 2: The total score of 3 subjects without a coefficient is 18.0 points.
This score includes exam scores according to the admission combination, priority points for subjects and areas.
According to the admission plan, in 2025, the Academy of Journalism and Communication will enroll 2,400 students according to 4 admission methods.
Of which, there are 2,050 regulatory university admission quotas for the first university degree and 350 regulatory university admission quotas for the second university degree.
