The Chairman of the City People's Committee has just agreed to the plan to select subjects for the 10th grade entrance exam for public high schools in the 2025-2026 school year as proposed by the Department of Education and Training.
Accordingly, the 3 subjects are Math, Literature and Foreign Language (including one of the following subjects: English, French, Russian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese).
Exam format and duration: Math is multiple choice, 90 minutes; Literature is essay, 120 minutes; Foreign language is multiple choice, 60 minutes.
The content of the exam questions for the subjects of Math, Literature, and Foreign Languages is according to the structure of the entrance exam for Grade 10 of high school in the 2025-2026 school year (issued with Decision No. 1039/QD-SGDDT dated July 31, 2024 of the Department of Education and Training on promulgating the structure of the entrance exam for Grade 10 of high school from the 2025-2026 school year).
According to the Department of Education and Training, based on the actual situation of Grade 9 students in the 2024-2025 school year, which is the first year of implementing the entrance exam according to the 2018 General Education Program with a new structure and format of exam questions and the results of a survey on the entrance exam plan for grade 10 high school, school year 2025-2026. Based on the admission results achieved in the 2024-2025 school year, in order to stabilize the approach to the 2018 General Education Program, the Department of Education and Training proposes to select exam subjects in the entrance exam for grade 10 public high schools in the 2025-2026 school year according to the above plan.
The Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee assigned the Department of Education and Training to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to announce the subjects of the entrance exam for grade 10 of public high schools for the 2025-2026 school year, and at the same time prepare well the conditions to organize the exam according to regulations.
