According to the 10th grade high school enrollment plan for the 2025-2026 school year, the first cases of direct enrollment are students from boarding schools for ethnic minorities at the junior high school level, students from ethnic minorities with very few people and students with disabilities.
Students in this category are only allowed to register for direct admission to public high schools that are suitable for students' living conditions.
District 2 is directly admitted students who have won prizes and medals in national and international competitions from the 2021-2022 school year to the end of the 2024-2025 school year with valid documents before May 19, 2025.
Accordingly, students won first, second, third prizes, Encouragement for the contest "Youth to study and follow the moral example of Ho Chi Minh", the contest "UPU International Letter" jointly organized by the Ministry of Education and Training; students won first, second, third prizes (or Gold, Silver, Bronze medals) for swimming, athletics, badminton for high school students nationwide organized by the Ministry of Education and Training.
3 other competitions are also directly selected, including the National TOTA Cup for High School Students organized by the Ministry of Education and Training in 2022 (for First, Second, Third prizes); National Phu Dong Sports Festival in 2024 (Golden, Silver, Bronze Medals) and the National Science and Technology Competition organized by the Ministry of Education and Training (First, Second, Third, Fourth prizes).
Students in class 2 are allowed to register for direct admission not exceeding 6 wishes for direct admission to public high schools, the wishes are ranked in order of priority from wish 1 to wish 6, in which wish 1 is the highest wish. The time to receive direct admission documents is from 16.5 to 19.5.
The principle of direct admission is that each public high school (except Tran Phu High School for the Gifted) is allowed to directly admit no more than 5% of students according to the 10th grade high school admission quota (excluding the number of candidates admitted directly in area 1).
Schools that directly admission according to students' wishes will complete the direct admission quota of high schools in order from high to low of the national tournament. In case of considering the final quota of having many students in the same award, the admission will be selected in order of priority: the average score of the entire year of grade 9 for subjects assessed with a larger score; the average score of the entire year of grade 9 for 3 subjects: Math, Literature and Foreign Language 1 is larger.
Students who have registered for direct admission but have not won the first round of direct admission can register and be admitted for additional direct admission at public high schools with direct admission quotas (no later than 5:00 p.m. on May 28).
