- Method 4 (code 402): Use competency assessment exam results for admission consideration (applied to nursing, medical testing techniques, medical imaging techniques, obstetrics, public health, nutrition).
The University of Transport also uses scores from the competency assessment exams of Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City to enroll regular university students in 2026. Specifically as follows:
- Method 1: Admission based on the results of the 2026 high school graduation exam and students who won national and international prizes.
- Method 2: Combined admission based on high school academic results and 2026 high school graduation exam scores (combined admission).
- Method 3: Admission based on the capacity assessment results of Hanoi National University in 2026 for some enrollment and training majors in Hanoi and admission based on the capacity assessment results of Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2026 for enrollment and training majors at Ho Chi Minh City Branch.
- Method 4: Admission based on the results of the 2026 thinking assessment of Hanoi University of Science and Technology with some enrollment and training majors in Hanoi.
