In the last days of his life full of ups and downs, artist Thuong Tin carries his two biggest wishes: to stand on stage once again to greet the audience who love him for more than half a century, and to worry and compensate for his young daughter - something he always feels secure about every time he mentions it.
Accordingly, at the press conference introducing the "Love Artists" music night in 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City, Thuong Tin shared with reporters that performing this music night was his wish after overcoming a stroke. He wanted to have a last music night as a respectful greeting to the audience.
The music night also has a humanitarian meaning when all revenue is spent to support veteran artists in difficult circumstances. Participating in the performance of three songs "Hoa Trinh Nu", "Tinh hoa va dat", "Gia tu" for him was not only a performance but a final moment to show gratitude to the profession and the audience.
Then, in another conversation with reporters in 2024 when he was seriously ill, he said he was still busy taking care of his daughter.
The broken marriage with his wife caused his daughter to leave him, and that was what made Thuong Tin most determined. He once burst into tears when mentioning his children because he missed them, but blamed himself for not being qualified and not having the strength to take care of his family.
At the end of his life, he said he wished to worry, take care of his young daughter and see her grow up. He revealed that his daughter was his driving force in the most difficult times.
Artist Thuong Tin was born in 1956. He came from the cai luong stage. After that, Thuong Tin quickly switched to cinema and became one of the famous actors in the 1980s.
