The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has just reported on the current status of protection, preservation and promotion of national treasures in the province.
A report sent to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that currently, Bac Ninh province has 18 artifacts and groups of artifacts recognized as national treasures.
In recent years, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has prioritized investment in the restoration of relics containing national treasures, specifically as follows:
From 2013-2019: But Thap Pagoda relic, Dinh To commune, Thuan Thanh town, established a project and implemented the restoration, renovation and embellishment of the following items: Tam quan, bell tower, Tam bao, 9-grade lotus throne, central house, worshiping house, back hall, left and right corridors, side gate, stele house, ancestor house and artifacts in the relic. Total investment: 43,305,405,000 VND.
From 2021-2024: The Tu Phap worshiping relic system (Dau Pagoda, Phi Tuong Pagoda, Dan Pagoda) has a project established and implemented to restore, repair, and embellish items in the relic. The total investment cost is 189,927,686,000 VND for the project to restore and embellish the Luy Lau ancient citadel relic and the Tu Phap system of Thuan Thanh town.
From 2019-2021: Linh Ung Pagoda relic, Gia Dong commune, Thuan Thanh town. Establish a project and implement the restoration, renovation and embellishment of the following items: Tam Quan, Tam Bao, Mau House, Guest House, To House, Monk House, Stele House, Am Hoa So and other auxiliary works. Total investment of 29,979,996,000 VND.
From 2018 - 2020: Le Van Thinh Temple relic, Dong Cuu commune, Gia Binh district was renovated and embellished with all architectural works and grounds with a total investment of 14,750,268,000 VND.
From 2015 to present: Dam Pagoda relic, Nam Son ward, Bac Ninh city has been approved for a new construction investment project in traditional style, with layout and architectural form consistent with archaeological results and construction year of the project including: Tam quan, corridor, Nguyen Phi Y Lan Temple, To House, Tam Bao, Guest House, Monk House, garden and auxiliary works. Total investment is 259,027,530,000 VND.
From 2019 - 2023: Diem Communal House Relic, Hoa Long Ward, Bac Ninh City, a project was established and implemented to restore, repair and embellish items in the relic: Dai Dinh, Ta Vu, Huu Vu, Nghi Mon, Hoa Vang Tower, side gate and auxiliary works. Total investment of 21,973,552,000 VND.
In 2023, the Bac Ninh Temple of Literature relic, Dai Phuc ward, Bac Ninh city, will establish a project and restore and repair a number of construction items with a total investment of 4,300,000,000 VND.
In 2024, the special national relic (QGDB) Dau Pagoda, Thanh Khuong Ward, Thuan Thanh Town will receive support of 1,200,000,000 VND. The Le Van Thinh Temple relic, Dong Cuu Commune, Gia Binh District will receive support of 900,000,000 VND for restoration and embellishment of the relic.
Thus, in the 11 years from 2013 to 2024, Bac Ninh province has spent a total of over 565 billion VND on the restoration of relics containing national treasures.
Regarding the work of promoting the value of national treasures, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province said that it has paid attention to promoting the value of heritage, building tours to bring visitors to relics with national treasures and proposed to include the subject of Local Education in teaching through online connection with museums and relic sites with national treasures.
