The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has just issued an official dispatch on reviewing and evaluating the current status of the Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk song theater.
Accordingly, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province received an official dispatch from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the maintenance and repair of the Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk song theater.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Finance and relevant agencies to report:
Review and evaluate the operation process, putting the project into use and the current status of the Quan Ho Bac Ninh folk song theater.
Estimated funding for renovation and repair and funding sources for the renovation and repair of the Quan Ho Bac Ninh folk song theater.
Report the review results to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee before May 14, 2025.
Quan Ho folk song theater is a famous project of Bac Ninh province.
The theater has an investment budget of 240 billion VND, winning the 15th National Architecture Silver Award (2022 - 2023).
The Bac Ninh Conductor Festival was built on a land area of over 19,000 m2 in viem Xa village, Hoa Long commune, Bac Ninh city - the cradle of the Bac Ninh Conductor Festival. The project started in 2016 and was completed in 2020.
The front of the theater is shaped with the influence of the traditional communal house roof, with a layer of 2 layers of lining, and a bamboo frame with motifs from the Ba Tam hat.
Inside the theater, there are 341 chairs and 185 tables crafted by Dong Ky village artisans. The total cost is 6.3 billion VND.
The theater regularly organizes Quan Ho singing programs to serve people and tourists coming to Bac Ninh.
Not only in the space inside the theater, Quan Ho singing programs on boats outside the theater are also regularly held.
