Solemn 95th death anniversary ceremony of Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac
On the morning of November 27, at the national historical and cultural relic Hoi Khanh Pagoda (Phu Cuong Ward, Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province), the Organizing Committee of major holidays of Binh Duong Province solemnly held the 95th death anniversary of Mr. Pho Bang Nguyen Sinh Sac - father of President Ho Chi Minh.
Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Van Loi - Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha - Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Memorial Ceremony; Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Ms. Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, along with leaders of departments, branches and people in the province.
Mr. Pho Bang Nguyen Sinh Sac was born in 1862 in Kim Lien village, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province, and died in 1929 in Hoa An village, Cao Lanh city, Dong Thap province.

During his revolutionary activities, from 1923 to 1926, Mr. Pho Bang Nguyen Sinh Sac stayed at Hoi Khanh Pagoda - Thu Dau Mot to practice medicine, treat people and spread patriotism.
His activities in Thu Dau Mot - Binh Duong left many good impressions on local people and contributed to spreading patriotism to the people.
The death anniversary took place with rituals such as offering gifts and incense at the altar of Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac.

The delegates lit incense sticks to express their respect and gratitude for the contributions, morality and noble personality of Mr. Nguyen Sinh Sac in the cause of national liberation and construction of the homeland. The delegates observed a minute of silence to commemorate Mr. Nguyen Sinh Sac.
Speaking at the death anniversary ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha - Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee expressed his respect and deep gratitude for the contributions of Mr. Pho Bang Nguyen Sinh Sac; reviewed the biography and working process, especially during the time Mr. Pho Bang lived and worked in Thu Dau Mot - Binh Duong.

Re-enacting the space where Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac dispensed medicine to treat people
According to the organizers, during the time Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac stayed at Hoi Khanh Pagoda - Thu Dau Mot, he practiced medicine and treated people.
In the space of the 95th death anniversary of Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac, at the campus of Hoi Khanh Pagoda, a special exhibition about Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac took place.

The exhibition recreates the space where Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac prescribed medicine to treat people at Hoi Khanh Pagoda, including 10 artifacts (tools used for prescribing medicine) and 50 types of traditional medicine; 12 images of pagodas in Binh Duong where Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac once went to prescribe medicine to treat people.
The exhibition attracted many delegates and people to visit and learn about the life and activities of Mr. Pho Bang Nguyen Sinh Sac in Thu - Binh Duong.


Patriotic education
The Organizing Committee said that the death anniversary was held to promote and educate the tradition of patriotism, the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" and the deep gratitude of the people of Binh Duong province towards Mr. Pho Bang Nguyen Sinh Sac.

Thereby, the death anniversary contributes to fostering and promoting the spirit of self-reliance and national pride for all classes of people, especially the young generation; promoting patriotism, preserving and promoting national cultural identity, promoting the value of the national historical relic Hoi Khanh Pagoda.
Planning for the construction of a memorial area for Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac
To honor the great contributions of Mr. Pho Bang Nguyen Sinh Sac, the province has a policy to build a memorial area for Mr. Pho Bang Nguyen Sinh Sac in Thu Dau Mot city.
Thu Dau Mot City People's Committee said it has decided to plan the construction location of the memorial site for Mr. Nguyen Sinh in Phu Cuong ward, covering an area of 4.79 hectares.
