The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented the decision to appoint two Deputy Ministers

On February 27, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST), a ceremony was held to present the Prime Minister's decision to appoint the Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

To serve the management and operation, the Prime Minister decided to transfer and appoint Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Phan Tam to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Comrade Le Hai Binh, Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine, to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

In Decision No. 400/QD-TTg dated February 25, 2025, the Prime Minister transferred and appointed Mr. Le Hai Binh, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism. This decision takes effect from the date of signing.

In Decision No. 328/QD-TTg dated February 19, 2025, the Prime Minister transferred and appointed Mr. Phan Tam, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism. This decision takes effect from March 1, 2025.

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung stated that, implementing the policy of reorganizing the apparatus of the Party and State leaders, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will receive the functions, tasks, and organization of the state management apparatus of the press from the Ministry of Information and Communications.

According to the Minister, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is performing the task of state management in the fields of culture, sports and tourism. In general, the fields that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is managing are fields that are both wide and difficult, and at the same time have very high requirements from society.

In the context of having to focus on harmoniously linking culture and economy, the task of developing cultural industries, developing tourism as well as sports to build cultural life, nurturing people, requires a lot of work to do, having more Deputy Ministers to jointly manage the fields will help the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism better complete the work, meeting the expectations of the Party and State leaders.

Minister Nguyen Van Hung suggested that Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh and Deputy Minister Phan Tam, together with the collective leadership of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will be determined to act, build internal solidarity and unity to lead the entire sector, and closely coordinate with localities to successfully complete the tasks assigned by the leaders of the Party, State and people, successfully implementing the goals set out in the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.

Speaking on receiving the assignment, the new Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Phan Tam said: "Accompanying me to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism are also state management units of the press of the Ministry of Information and Communications, we will work our best, using the power of digital communication, of digital technology to contribute to the development of the Ministry as well as the country", Deputy Minister Phan Tam affirmed.

Meanwhile, the new Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh promised to join hands to maintain solidarity and unity in the collective leadership of the Ministry as well as the entire sector, determined to fulfill assigned tasks well, worthy of the attention of the leaders of the Party and State, contributing to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to achieve many achievements in the coming time, contributing to the overall development of the country and building important foundations, including the material and spiritual foundation for the new era of the nation.
