BTS's hit English single "Dynamite" has reached another historic milestone, surpassing a whopping 2 billion streams on Spotify, according to Korean media.
The song set a new industry record, becoming the first song by a K-Pop group and the second song by a Korean artist overall, along with Jungkook's "Seven", to reach the milestone in Spotify history.
Released on August 21, 2020 as the band's first full-length English single and a track from their full-length album "BE", "Dynamite" reached 2 billion streams on the platform in 4 years and 4 months.
Currently, BTS has not resumed group activities. The reason is because some members are still participating in military service. According to Jungkook, the members will soon reunite in 2025.
However, management company Big Hit said they are still uncertain about whether BTS will have any new music activities as a group this year.
BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys, is a South Korean boy band formed by Big Hit Entertainment in 2010 and started managing in 2013. The group consists of 7 members: Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook, all of whom co-write and produce the majority of their music.
