On November 13, Korean media reported that BTS's "DNA" has achieved 1.6 billion views since its release in September 2017.
This is the group's third MV to reach 1.6 billion views, after "Dynamite" and "Boy With Luv (Feat. Halsey)".
With this achievement, BTS continues to strengthen its position. BTS currently holds the record for being the K-pop boy band with the MV reaching 1.6 billion views.
"DNA" is the lead single from BTS's EP "Love Yourself: Her." It is also the first song by a Korean artist and group to simultaneously chart on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200.
At the time of its release, the MV DNA was called by international media as the new "YouTube monster" of K-pop when it became the K-pop MV to reach 10 million views fastest, 20 million views fastest, and set a new YouTube record for a K-pop group when it reached 20.9 million views in the first 24 hours.
BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys, is a South Korean boy band formed by Big Hit Entertainment in 2010. The group consists of seven members: Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. They are all involved in co-writing and producing the majority of their music.
