Singer Duy Manh withdraws lawsuit demanding Mercedes Vietnam to compensate 2.5 billion VND

Singer Duy Manh said that he withdrew the lawsuit against Mercedes-Benz Vietnam Company related to the fire of the S450 Luxury car despite previously asking the company for compensation of 2.5 billion VND.

It is known that the decision was made after the trial at Go Vap District People's Court on April 25 was postponed.

Previously, the incident attracted attention when Duy Manh's Mercedes worth more than 4.7 billion VND suddenly caught fire in an apartment tunnel in Thu Duc City in February 2023, while the car was still under warranty.

The examination showed that the power lines were stunted, believed to be caused by a rat bit. However, singer Duy Manh refuted, saying that the conclusion was un object.

After the incident, the insurance company paid nearly 2.9 billion dong to Duy Manh but the male singer continued to sue Mercedes, asking the company to be responsible. The defendant argued that the right to claim the compensation was transferred to the insurance company, no longer belonging to the singer.

After Duy Manh withdrew the lawsuit, Mercedes Vietnam has not yet spoken out about the male singer's withdrawal.
