Mr. Nguyen Thai Bao - Vice Chairman of Cai Rang District People's Committee (Can Tho City) - has just signed and issued a plan to organize the At Ty Spring Flower Market 2025 at Cai Rang Floating Market.
As planned, the 2025 At Ty Spring Flower Market at Cai Rang Floating Market with a total area of about 3,000m2 will be held at the Cai Rang Floating Market stop (No. 17/2, Vo Tanh Street, Yen Thuan area, Le Binh Ward, Cai Rang District, Can Tho City).
The Spring Flower Market is expected to have over 30 display lots of ornamental flowers, ornamental plants, bonsai and some items serving Tet shopping needs; booths selling typical products of the district; along with spaces recreating Ong Do Street, historical sites, typical tourist attractions of the district... serving people and tourists to visit and take photos.
In particular, participating businesses, cooperatives, gardeners, and households are exempted from paying for land, electricity, water, etc.
The exhibition of ornamental flowers and Tet goods will take place from January 15 to 28 (December 16 to the 29th of Tet). Activities recreating Ong Do Street, culture, art, etc. will serve visitors from January 15 to February 3 (December 16 to the 6th of Tet).
According to the People's Committee of Cai Rang District, the organization of the Spring Flower Market aims to serve the needs of buying and selling ornamental flowers, Tet goods, and sightseeing and entertainment of people and tourists during Tet. It creates conditions for connecting traders, gardeners, producers, etc. to support gardeners inside and outside the district to do business and buy and sell ornamental flowers.
The Spring Flower Market at Cai Rang Floating Market also contributes to solving the problem of encroachment on roads and sidewalks that cause loss of urban beauty, ensuring traffic safety, sidewalk order and urban environmental sanitation during the Lunar New Year.
Currently, Can Tho City is also organizing the Spring Flower Market at Tay Do Square, urban area 586, Phu Thu ward, Cai Rang district; the time takes place from January 17 to 28 (18 to 29 of the 12th lunar month).
Farmers and traders inside and outside Can Tho City who want to do business at the 2025 Spring Flower Market will be exempted from rent, electricity and water.
The Spring Flower Market is arranged in a space of “on the wharf, under the boat”. The scale of over 200 lots displays ornamental flowers, ornamental plants, bonsai of small traders, gardeners, cooperatives in Can Tho city and some provinces in the Mekong Delta.
Thus, on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2025, in Can Tho City, there will be 2 Spring Flower Market locations with free rent, electricity, water for businesses, gardeners... to participate in displaying and selling Tet ornamental flowers.
