Singer Dam Vinh Hung's lawsuit against billionaire Gerard Williams and singer Bich Tuyen has new developments.
According to Bich Tuyen, the California Supreme Court, USA has approved the request for an order to extend the time to respond to the lawsuit from defendant Gerard Williams by 60 days.
Gerard Williams's law firm has until February 25, 2025 to respond to plaintiff Dam Vinh Hung's lawsuit.
The singer said that this was because her husband had added two new lawyers to the case and asked for an extension to complete some other documents.
Bich Tuyen also said that the new lawyers will take time to update the lawsuit file as well as study the accompanying evidence.
Thus, from 4 lawyers, singer Bich Tuyen and her husband now have 6 lawyers for the lawsuit.
Initially, Dam Vinh Hung requested to withdraw his lawsuit against singer Bich Tuyen and her husband, demanding compensation of 50 million USD. Later, the US court rejected the singer's request to withdraw the lawsuit and the lawsuit had to continue.
As for singer Bich Tuyen and her husband, they filed a counter-suit. The initial complaint was about 30 pages long. Later, the couple added more than 300 additional pages to the complaint.
According to the schedule, the case of singer Dam Vinh Hung suing singer Bich Tuyen and her husband will take place in June 2025. As for the case of singer Bich Tuyen and her husband suing Dam Vinh Hung, there is still no official court date.
