Tuyen Quang province currently has more than 650 historical, revolutionary, cultural and scenic relics with 182 relics ranked as national relics. This locality is considered a " revolutionary museum" of the country.

We will continue to promote the application of information technology in management, conservation, exploitation, and promotion of the value of revolutionary historical relics to create attractive tourism products to attract tourists, said Mr. Hoa.
Meanwhile, with majestic natural landscapes and the uniqueness of indigenous ethnic cultures, Ha Giang province has the strength of experiential tourism attracting a large number of international visitors.
Creativity has given Ha Giang the majesty of nature that very few places in the world have, especially the Dong Van Stone Plateau, for the third consecutive time holding the title of UNESCO's Global Geopark Network.
Currently, Ha Giang is focusing on 5 main types including: Cultural tourism, eco-tourism, resorts, sports - adventure tourism, commercial tourism, border tourism. Ha Giang's tourism products are exploited all year round, completely overcoming the seasonality.
In 2023, the World Tourism Award Organization honored Ha Giang as Asia's Leading Emerging Tourist Destination in 2023. Then, in 2024, this locality continued to be nominated in the category of Asia's Leading Regional Cultural Destination.
Ha Giang province aims to develop tourism into a spearhead economic sector, contributing to promoting a sustainable economy, while preserving the unique cultural identity of ethnic minorities.
Combining many potentials and advantages
The combination of tourism types after the merger of Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang provinces is expected to form a continuous development axis from the "revolutionary zone" to the Thanh Thuy international border gate.
Tuyen Quang province has completed and put into operation the expressway connecting to Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway by the end of 2023. Meanwhile, the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway is expected to open to traffic at the end of 2025.
This is considered an advantage to promote economic development in general and tourism in particular by shortening travel time for tourists while diversifying types of tourism.
Commenting on this content, Ms. Nguyen Huyen Trang - Deputy Director of Thang Long Viet Tourism Company said that Ha Giang and Tuyen Quang provinces already have typical tourism products, these advantages will be better promoted after the merger.
"The trend of tourists is to optimize time but still have to diversify experiences. Tourists can both learn about history and spirituality and enjoy majestic scenery and learn about culture on a journey in the new province of Tuyen Quang. We have built and rearranged tours to meet the needs of customers, Ms. Trang shared.
In 2024 alone, Ha Giang welcomed more than 3.2 million visitors, tourism revenue reached VND 8,150 billion. In Tuyen Quang, this figure is 2.8 million visitors and revenue is 3,700 billion VND.
After the merger, many breakthrough opportunities will be expanded to develop tourism - the spearhead economic sector of the new Tuyen Quang province.
