In the trailer for episode 4, the stages of Performance 1 are revealed. In the Reunion room, the Sisters gather to listen to host Jun Pham announce the competition rules. The two Sisters Thu Phuong and My Linh are forced to compete with each other in 2 vocal performances: If I Were You (My Linh, Minh Tuyet, Tuimi) and Love Song (Thu Phuong, Bui Lan Huong and Hoang Yen Chibi).
The rules of the Show 1 match require the 2 Alliances to come up with a strategy when discussing and setting up the battle: The 2 Alliances will discuss and come up with tactics, thinking about the matchups between themselves and their opponents.
Performance 1 has 4 pairs competing 1 on 1. In which, Thu Phuong and My Linh's 2 acts will compete against each other by default and perform 4th. The opponents and performance order of the remaining 3 pairs are based on the results of the 2 Alliances' set-up.
Entering the match-up, the 2 Alliances will choose their opponents to compete in the "battle" format: 2 matches corresponding to round 1 and round 2.
Each round, each Alliance sends a team to meet each other. If the two teams agree to compete, they will stick the song name tag on the board to officially confirm that they will be competing at Performance 1.
After the discussion and battle, the 2 Alliances will proceed to choose the performance order. In this round, the Sisters will participate in a game of rock-paper-scissors to decide the performance order.
According to the trailer for episode 4 of "Sister Who Makes Wave 2024", Minh Hang shared the competition rules with her teammates: "I am in the competition and will vote directly on two competing songs and I will know the winning or losing result."
The Thu Phuong Alliance side was equally tense. Xuan Nghi expressed her prediction: "I think they will show their strong performance first." Pham Quynh Anh said: "I think their first performance will be bright."
With many changes in the rules and investment in the performances, Performance 1 airs at 8pm on VTV3.
